And luckily I figured that out.

You did it by the very act of sidelining the conversation. Pocket sized cell phones already do this. Why wear an ugly headband? Only introverts don't care about fashion and vanity. For business, people just want something simple, easy, and effective. Most people don't even turn on their camera in Teams calls and now you expect them to put on a VR headset? Get real.

It's impossible to prove what someone's thinking, but motive is still a large part of our legal system (and is tied with ethics pretty strongly as well). Biden had an official duty to try and oust the Ukrainian prosecutor. Maybe he was glad due to some ulterior motive (who knows), but he had verifiable and sound motive as well. There was no other motive for Trump to try and get the Ukrainians to dig up dirt on Hunter other than his last name. If he wasn't running against Joe, he wouldn't give a shit about Hunter (no one would) and you know it. What "else" do you imagine was Trump's motive here?

Similarly, 'antifa'

Let me stop you right there. I don't remember 'antifa' "similarly" taking control of any government buildings by force. Bringing up 'antifa' is a classic distraction (and false equivalence) of your cult though. Regarding the false equivalence, I think the leader of the oath keepers was just handed a lengthy prison sentence. Maybe you can find an "equivalent" sentence for a member of 'antifa'.

you're keen on focusing on military assistance for Trump, and not actually looking up the specifics of the billion-dollar loan guarantee under Obama, held hostage by Biden personally? Nice double standard you have there.

It's not a double standard since motives were national interest in one case and personal interest in another case.

You approve of some motives towards blackmailing the Ukrainians, and not others.

Some of us aren't fans of it, period.

I realize that some in your cult would like to draw false equivalencies to distract from the misdeeds of your leader. Sometimes coercion can be used for good (like the current sanctions against Russia). Motive matters.

Whataboutism is a term for this I think.

Your original quote was about Biden doing the same thing as Trump, implying that some people are hypocritical for blaming Trump and not Biden. I've tried to convince you the situation was different due to motive. Whataboutism would be if we were talking about how bad Biden was and I brought up Trump.

What got codified in the first amendment is literally the protection for open government criticism, not the "broader" "cultural concept" you're referring to. You can imagine broader interpretations if you'd like.

You saw a headline that proports the claim I made to be false, yet it doesn't match my claim.

You claimed Biden "bragged about doing the sort of thing Trump was impeached for". Trump was literally impeached for bribery (in the form of military assistance).

It doesn't change the underlying point that Biden acknowledged on camera, having personally exerted pressure toward the Ukrainian government to fire the prosecutor.Or do you dispute that fact?

I don't dispute that fact, but you're missing context and motive. Biden wanted the prosecutor out for ethical reasons. Trump just wanted a political talking point for himself.
