Interviewed with a gamer shop recently and they where telling me how unstable their platform was. They where hoping I could help them out, then proceeded to tell me they where using scala for production work. My response was this, hmm no thanks I cannot help you.

The sooner you start thinking like a capitalist the quicker you may become rich also. Here is the cool part, why do you think Bain employees are donating to the Obama campaign? Hint it is not because they like him it is because they are hedging a bet that he gets elected in fact hoping very much that he does. Bain is betting that if Obamacare stands the overhead and regulation makes outsourcing a fantastic business decision.

I happen to agree with Bain and Romney even in a loss situation stands to make millions more. See that is how to think like a capitalist, you turn a loss into a sure win.

To be fair though I am not sure that my bunny fur bomber hat would fit inside of that helmet. I have however been snowmobiling at some amazingly cold temperatures -30+ F. As long as the skin is not directly exposed at those temps life is good. A small leak however or a few seconds of exposed skin and frostbite is immediate.

When it is that cold though my first thought is to grab a ice auger, beer and go fishing.

I know it was only a couple of years ago but do you remember why the republicans now have the majority? Hint it was not because everyone thought that the Democrats had a great agenda. In fact the voting majority was pissed that Obamacare was rammed through, thus the landslide win. Sorry to break this to you but we are damn glad they are there to do exactly what we hired them to do, block stupid shit.

I am from the thought that it is purely genetic. Sure you cant teach someone the concepts applying those is where genetics come to play. It takes someone with abstract visualization, tinkering and creativity skills . Throw in some unsatisfiable desire to beat a machine into submission and you have a great programmer.

Interestingly enough over the years I have run into a unusually high percentage of great unix programmers that where previously auto mechanics.

Comment You cannot elevate everyone from a poor status. (Score 1) 315

I specifically know two families both very good friends of mine. These two families both live well below the poverty line. However that will never change as they really have zero ambition to change that fact. As odd as it sounds they are perfectly happy making next to nothing. Both families have nothing but opportunity to do something about it yet refuse.
