They killed it on the games while stoned, performance was equal or greater (often massively so) in all cases. It's also full of references to other studies (for example about driving) suggesting weed does not decrease focus & performance, and in some instances enhances it.

So.... pretty much the exact polar opposite of the "demonizing" you're complaining about.

3D TV can only play back 3D movies

Well... that's factually incorrect, 3D gaming is already a reality today, via stuff like nVidia 3D Vision (3D Skyrim with a few select mods is very drool worthy).

Still a niche to be sure, but not a limitation of current tech that VR is going to solve. It will probably make it easier and more mainstream though... so you're quite right about VR's potential I think.

I think back to sitcoms like The Cosby Show, Night Court, etc, and the comedy really did arise from the situations... not by simply making the cast subjects of ridicule.

I really do think television has gotten "meaner". IMHO things really took a turn after "The Weakest Link" and "Survivor" type shows became popular.

The one I gave you is for rotating the CORNER pieces (4e), whereas you need the sequence described in 5a/5b.

YES! That is exactly what I learned it from. I still have the book somewhere too.

I don't know of an identical method posted online, that sequence was actually from memory believe it or not (or rather, my hands still remembered the pattern and I just had to transcribe it).

A pattern to rotate 3 of the 4 bottom side pieces (all except the "top" one) is:

R- B- R+ B-
R- B2 R+ B2

(+ = clockwise, - = counterclockwise, 2 = twice)

I wonder if we know the same method? The one I know does: top sides, top corners, sides, bottom corners, bottom sides.

Gmail was an early pioneer in using the URL hash to track state, so that eg, the Back button worked properly with Ajax. They deserve credit for that.

And yes, I remember being annoyed about not being able to open links in a new window... for about 10 seconds, before discovering the "Open in new window" function they provided, which rendered that pretty moot.

Haha... I think the "feed the dolphin" mini-game was the EXACT point where I quit the game.

And yet, people still hail it as one of the greatest stories ever, nearly 2 decades later... so I always feel this nagging feeling that I should dust it off and finish it.
