I don't think it really needs any discussion. I visit Slashdot precisely because of its layout and discussion style. If they take that away, there's nothing keeping me here that I can't get at any one of the bazillion gawker sites.

Bottom line, really: if they change it, I have no reason to come back.

Are you wondering why on Earth Obama would think it's a good idea to bomb Syria, when Libya was such a disaster? I'll give you a hint: both countries are non-members of the WTO, with state-owned banking systems. So is Iran.
