Where I live there's no such thing as 'unpaid overtime'. Instead by law this is the standard: regular overtime means 1.5x regular pay, overtime on weekends and national holidays means 2x regular hourly pay. Unpaid overtime sounds pretty much like slavery to me. I don't understand how this can be acceptable to anyone.

May not be a popular opinion around here but why not Windows installed natively and linux in vm. Would make sense to me. After all it's the windows applications that require more resources and thus should be closer to the hardware. Examples include all Adobe products, games etc

My mother only needs the browser for web and e-mail + she needs some place to store some photos. So since I see her only once every few months (this is how often I come out of the basement ;) ) and since she started having some problems with viruses and spyware I replaced the old sour windows xp with ubuntu on her machine and she's been surfing away happily ever since. I personally detest any localization when it comes to software but she likes it. I'm however running vista ... because I need to :/
