Without an SSN you need a DOB. At least that's the case for all the credit checks I've run at mutliple companies over the past 20 years.

Credit check. A company choosing to keep it AFTER the fact is folly, unless your a banker extending credit and you need to periodically re-run credit.
Very interesting, thanks. I was wondering where the ch came from.
Doh! I stand corrected.
I mostly used Kubuntu and Xubuntu before this anyway, but I no longer trust MS to not have gov't backdoors built-in. Yes, I know nothing is 100%, but I'm more comfortable using an OS that's open-source over one that's not.
As a T-Mobile customer, I welcome our new overloards. Ever try using T-Mobile outside a metro area (Kansas, rural Texas, etc.)? Even in some some metro areas (Omaha, Austin suburbs) coverage is horrible. Anything that gives T-Mobile more towers is fine with me (as long as it's not AT&T).
It has long been known that what you post online, for all the world to see, is YOUR responsiblity.
Google is ignorant in a lot of realms, and I criticize them regularly. But one thing they DO get right (about the only thing....) is search. They are NOT reponsible for whatever is posted by whoever about whoever.
Don't like what A said about B? Take it up with A. Google had nothing to do with it. All they did was report that A said X about B. Capiche?
People shouldn't HAVE to pay for bug fixes. I sell you a product for $100 and I promise it does a, b, and c. However, sometimes it does c incorrectly. You'd demand that I fix it, no? But no, I'm a software developer so I just say, "Sorry, I don't have time for that, but here's my new version you can have for (another) $100!" What other industry gets away with this?
13 mod points but they don't work on this thread for some reason. Anyhow... +1!
If I could only trust the Chinese to not build in their own backdoors.
You might already have a virus. I've never seen any such thing on
Now who are the fools who paid for this so desperately-needed research? Oh yeah. My own government. Once again.
I take it you haven't actually used XFCE. I prefer KDE but XFCE is probably the fastest of all those mentioned in the survey.
Yep. Firefox is far superior to Chrome. You can customize almost anything in Firefox and nothing in Chrome.
Use Firefox. They have the same idiocy (mapping back to backspace - which I can't stand either) but at least you can turn it off. Almost nothing in Chrome is customizable. Why it has such a large following is beyong me.
Never ask two questions in a business letter. The reply will discuss the one you are least interested, and say nothing about the other.
