You really think that an organized military and police force can be stopped by citizens (including grandma) with their .38 S&W? How would you stop a convoy of tanks and humvees? Your argument also assumes that the whole population rises up at the same time and unites. That rarely ever happened in world history.

Do you really think the military, in some portion, will not side and fight with the people?

Yeah, being hit, expertise and all the other caps really make a difference lvling, NOT!

Any crappy green level 85 gear you have today is still much better then the epic level 80 gear from the litch king era. If you are dieing trying to kill the litch king at level 85 with level 85 gear.... I hate to say it but gear is not the probelm.

I didn't replace any of my 80 raid gear until actual better pieces dropped, and that didn't happen til heroics and rep gear, nothing green or blue is better then well geared 80 raiding gear. but the grind got to me and moved on to other things and let WoW lapse like millions of others did.

Right, with the 3 out at a time plan I am able to get a DVD in the mail everyday the mail runs. So about 25 a month, or about $1 each with the current plan. I've very torn as I do watch some streaming content, but not enough to pay about $5 more for it which is the increase I will face. With 45tb of storage I have a very healthy library already. No, the extra money will not mean much to me, but the data point to the Hollywood execs of another in the pile who won't pay $X for streaming is worth it to me. I'd rather take that money and give it to someone worthy at Vodo.net where an extra $5 month could make or break something getting made.

Put everything up there; I'll gladly pay a buck or two to rent what I want, whenever I want; and I think most adults have the same attitude (not necessarily a lot of Slashdot readers, but anyway).

If only it were that easy. Go look at Amazon and their rental rates for streaming new(ish) movies, $4, and you have to wait the 3-4 month window for the DVD to come out, then the 30 day window for Netflix to start renting, then maybe it gets put on the streaming rental circuit. The stupidios see these windows and a chance to sell another copy, I just see it as a chance for me to care even less about that title.
