The USA it seems didn't learn anything from Vietnam. Given events since then in Iraq, Afghanistan, now Ukraine. That's a lot of money that could have been put to better use. A lot of people who died for nothing. And ever since Vietnam, every U.S. dollar is an IOU for money they don't have. Looking back, it was a noble effort but the Pentagon Papers changed nothing.

I for one, would love to have been a fly on the wall to hear what those two would have actually been discussing. I'm sure it would be very enlightening to find out. We'll just have to use our imaginations.
