Many stereotypical attributes of a people are reflected in the language. German is precise, sounds harsh (to non Germans) and is not very open to humorous wordplay. Spanish sounds lighthearted and its easy to make jokes and talk funny using the language, English is full of ambiguity but concise and practical...
I'm positive that language determines how we think and therefore also who we are. More than that, to a certain degree it determines what we can even think about.

Japan has been stagnating a bit, but what's wrong with stagnation when you have an unemployment rate of 3.6 percent, a crime rate of practically zero and a populace that is generally well of? I am not a fan of Israels "foreign policy" towards Palestine, especially the Gaza Strip. On the other hand, it's hard to argue with someone who says he will never accept and will always fight you.

On the other, other hand, Israel has been nurturing this sentiment towards it for decades by indiscriminately leveling buildings and killing dozens of Palestinians every time some idiots fire a mostly useless rocket over the border.

I'm sorry about the websites that depend on ad revenue. But if the advertising companies can't get their shit together and instead abstract their business model in such a way that it's impossible to know where an ad is coming from, it's their fault not mine.
