This whole thing is riddled with hypocrisies. I mean, Steve is being a real douche here.. Even more then usual.
If they want to promote open standards, they should try not to look so fucking two-faced about it.
And here I am posting this at work. Man would it would by ironic if i got fired for posting this
(DISCLAIMER: I'm on break)
I'm really curious as to when it's acceptable to look at someone’s history for productivity. I mean, Do you do regular checks of employees? Or do you wait until there is a problem and then use web history as another good reason as to why the employee shouldn't be working there?
Just from a union and fairness point of view, it seems a bit off to only check one person’s history. If one person gets regularly checked, so should everybody else... Right?
He tried to reproduce it and had problems? The summary of the problem made it seem like all svchost.exe's would get deleted no matter what.
I wonder what sort of specific conditions had to be met? Not that I like coming to the defense of McAfee... But has this been overblown?
I really wouldn't trust Norton any more then McAfee.
Honestly - I don't know what the right answer for a corporate entity is... There is just something really scummy about both companies that I don't like.
Ack.
I hate to refute this because you seem like a type of person that practices religion because it's important to *you*. I respect that.
But, quite frankly, both sides can pull random quotes of scripture out of a book and say that they are all about love and togetherness. At the end of day I'm still told that I should be put to death because I’m gay. (Leviticus 20:13). That's just as extremist.
It's blind faith that’s the problem. Not a particular religion.
What the gods would destroy they first submit to an IEEE standards committee.
