Submission + - India's $35 tablet may be shelved (intoday.in)
louzer writes: "Indian government's $35 tablet, Aakash previously reported here on Slashdot may be shelved because a series of faults have been discovered. The government now plans to dump these malfunctioning tablets to rural villages. Since governments are inculpable these days, the fault, like a cliche lies with the greedy Reliance Industries Ltd who now will profit by selling new tablets based on the government funded design at slightly higher price. May there be more wasting of tax payer's money around the world by our omniscient rulers so that the cronies of governments may profit."
