Yes, I think it was around the time Bill Left M/S. But, everytime a large company says "xxx is our top-priority", the exact opposite happens. So it was top like 20 years ago, all that happened was spyware was eventually added because "blame the users".

Can't wait to see how much worse M/S will make things. FWIW, it is not just M/S, but many big companies go down this path. Remember IBM's 5 year plan :)

You actually believe this ? United Health is a Private Company. Based upon your comment, the the people you support, the GOP, are the ones which forced these private companies on medicare people. Also, if you were born before 1955, you do not use these companies but regular Medicare which the benefits for those people are better than what these forced upon us private companies offer.

For over 15 years, my workstation at work has been RHEL, we can choose Windows, RHEL, Ubuntu and MAC OS.

With RHEL I have went through minor and major upgrades and never had an issue with anything, nevermind VPN settings. How does an OS Patch breaks this ?

This will make the Work from Home crowd very happy due to the inability to VPN into work systems :) Once again Microsoft proves how incompetent it is.

I haven't been this optimistic in the economy ever

While true, people, especially in the US, barely know how to add 1 + 1. In most cases, their wages kept up with inflation and some exceeded it. But they see prices going up and have no clue they are making more $ at the same time.

I heard an economist talk at length over the issue of wages vs expenses. He said price inflation is why people say the economy is bad but they do not realize their wages kept up with inflation. My take is people will believe the economy is bad until either their wages doubles over night or prices fall a lot while they keep their purchasing power.
