It could very well as likely-if not more likely-have been conservative, 2A die-hards, coordinating over Telegram, that earn above median income, have expensive lifted trucks at home, and are mad about some "injustice" they imagine threatens their existence, such as women.

Unfortunately i could not find a study when I googled "pointing a fan at the user", but there are many articles and anecdotes online that say pointing a fan at the VR user helps motion sickness incredibly. I have tried it myself and found it to be true. I also found a suggestion that bringing in fresh air from the outside also helps. Both are pretty easy to do and have virtually no drawbacks, so I think everyone that uses VR should have a (box) fan pointed at them (unless they don't get motion sick and don't feel like having a fan).
