There's only one letter wrong in there and it's completely obvious from context clues that it should be "Did you for a moment think..." could maybe add some commas in there "Did you, for a moment, think..." but they're neither here nor there in terms of understanding what's being said.
It doesn't really work like that. Unless they have a precise location (ie from GPS) then the find my app will show a region around the location, not a precise one. So it's likely that it showed a circle that somehow intersected with the house or showed the device near the house and then law enforcement assumed that must mean it's at the house.
They will anonymously connect to any nearby iDevice and update their location in the owner's iCloud/findMy app.

The Find My network is an encrypted, anonymous network of hundreds of millions of Apple devices that can help you find your AirPods, even if they're offline. Nearby devices securely send the location of your missing AirPods to iCloud, so that you can find where they are. It's all anonymous and encrypted to protect everyone's privacy. They're not doing anything to android phones (or messages to/from them). If I have my data turned off (like I do sometimes when I'm traveling) then messages that I send to *any* phone (Android, iPhone, dumb phone, whatever) are green bubbles. Because the green doesn't signify other than "SMS" and blue signifies "iMessage".
RCS doesn't support end to end encryption... only google's *proprietary* extension does.
You do know that the open version of RCS (The "universal profile") doesn't support end to end encryption.. right? You do know that the encryption-supporting version of RCS is Google proprietary and why would apple replace their own proprietary stuff with someone else's?
And your response is *exactly* why such regulations (and changes to iOS) are unneeded.. there's absolutely nothing stopping you from getting a phone from a manufacturer that gives you what you want (and who behaves in the way you want, since this seems more of your issue).

I couldn't give fewer flying fucks. I have to have some baseline of trust in Apple due to them being the makers of the device and OS. For better or worse, I'm satisfied with that compromise. I'm also satisfied to keep everyone else away from my phone's data whenever possible.
In other words.. if I can't trust Apple then I *certainly* can't trust any of the unwashed masses of developers. In fact I'm likely to trust them less.
The devs can have my purchase price and after that they can fuck off.
The general public is so wantonly underinformed that one could argue they aren't even qualified to make a rational assessment of the situation.
OR.. none of this matters even a little bit to the VAST majority of Apple users. If it matters enough they'll get a phone from a different vendor.
Personally I'm extremely happy for all iOS developers to be in the tightest, most restrictive on-device jail possible. All they're going to do with all this flexibility is screw users over with scams and tracking and other nonsense like that.

There's something to be said for the distinction between sub-orbital and orbital spacecraft, however. Winnebago-1 is, of course, the latter but there have been a number of commercial sub-orbital spacecraft landings in the US (the various SpaceShipOne and BlueOrigin craft)
No.. that's not what that means. the $32,000 is the minimum for Schedule F performers. There are others (covered under other schedules) who make less under the current collective agreement.
I have no doubt that I could write a fair portion of my code on a Pi: I do pretty much everything with Vim and Make. However, I like to be able to actually *run* the applications I'm developing for. Last I checked I can't run Maya or Houdini or Nuke on a Pi. That means I need a workstation: Linux, or Windows, or Mac. Windows is right out for me (don't like the user experience and it's not unix.. though I think that gap is closing over the years). And between Mac and Linux I'll choose a Mac every day of the week.
Since we're just making up stories now.. then I think what will happen is that for every show I download I will get to have lunch with one of the actors once a year.

I couldn't really care less what you do with your money. I get a huge amount of value from the apple tv device itself (which doesn't require paying for any apple services if you don't want. I use it to watch many different streaming services. Some of them free) and I also get a ton of value from buying my weekly tv shows from apple. Good price. Get to watch the TV that is on right now and I can watch it whenever I want without ads. Couldn't be happier.
I don't know what to tell you. I've never had to re-enter my icloud password once on my apple tv. Your experience, while certainly frustrating, is definitely not most peoples' experience. If it was then nobody would be buying them.
Completely chock full of ads? hah. Not even close. Some shows have skippable previews at the start of them but I've yet to run into anything that gets in the way of me turning on the tv and watching whatever show I want, completely ad-free.
