I was curious and wanted to look it up on Google maps. But I can't find anything looking like it in the video when I go on 15th avenue in San Francisco. A search in Google maps for the "Army hospital" in SF that you mention doesn't turn up anything either for me.

According to the linked article, it does NOT work on previous versions. I have 2.4.38. And indeed, if I try the example from a tweet in the article:
curl "https://my.example.com/whatever/.%2e/.%2e/.%2e/.%2e/.%2e/.%2e/.%2e/etc/passwd"
I just get

It's not only because it works on every platform. It's also sometimes the best solution, particularly for huge files or directories. If you need to transfer a 150 GB. file over an unreliable link, FTP is the only protocol that will work. Even if the link breaks at 99% in the transfer, you can resume the transfer.

However, if you think it's that simple, easy and cost effective to have an open restroom in a city, have it. Let us know how you make out.

I don't know how easy it is or how much it costs, but any European city has plenty of public toilets. I never heard anyone suggest that they cost too much and should be suppressed.

In some places where they fear that too many junkies would use them, they use ultraviolet neon lights, so junkies go find another more convenient place for shooting.

The real problem is that apparently, unlike any other country in the world, US cities don't have public toilets. That is really weird! So, since humans do need to do these things, and these drivers seem to be polite enough to not just pee anywhere like in your backyard, well then you have all this story. Why don't US cities build public toilets like the rest of the world does?

How does that work? I don't understand. Why would an operator assign an existing number to a new SIM card without verifying the person's identity?

I once had lost my phone. Had to go to the carrier's shop, and show my ID before they de-activated my old SIM and gave me a new one.
