not that sucky
that once a year convenience to me doesn't justify having a *$(# digital gizmo that won't last.
You can save just as much money with a 1970s thermostat. Turn it down or off or up when you need to, simple as that.
Electronics? you're funny. Mercury switch might need a replacement at 20 years, bimetallic strip could need recalibration.. but just hang accurate thermometer next to it instead.
you don't know much about India, do you? #14 in the global terrorist index
I'll tell you I'm over 60 and hobbyist whisker is inferior. If you want an actual good germanium diode use a modern Schottky, AC
Talking out of your ass is what you're telling me.
turns out they do work with the external antenna all cars had, with the car body as grounding plane. And of course "crystal" is best as cheap little silicon diode, not germanium and whisker Actually build and try something before running your mouth, young un.

inexpert observation:
There are realms where quantum mechanics doesn't work, but Einstein's GR does....sure, vice versa too but the point is Einstein made something amazing that endures with time. Gravity might NOT be a quantum phenomenon, and our Standard Model can't handle gravity neither can our quantum field theories that came later.
We had LIGO first detecting colliding black holes via gravity waves for not even 9 years yet.... a century after Einstein published GR. holy shit!
nonsense, Russia is no tbreat to NATO countries, won't attack them, doesn't have the means to fight or take them.
The organism in question has been around for 60 million years, "recent" in geological time, sure.
The article and summary make it sound like two organisms did the dirty deed early in the morning after getting drunk last night
This article is about something that happened about 60 million years ago, and lingers to this day...
A person reading this sensationalist article would thing it occurred at 10am this morning, LOLZ
Haven't used GNOME for a long time. MATE is better.
Maybe GNOME should die
Artificially crippling an OS and now the products it runs by restricting hardware, what genius
