Well, I have read through the comments and see you all been having a few issues over the years. Sorry to hear that. Sounds pretty bad for some of you. I have exclusively run Linux on a series of laptops since, I think, 2013 and this has caused no problems at all to my work flow as a web developer and general PC user. No problems at all. None. Sadly, I generally do end up buying some kind of licence for MS though on a new laptop, certainly the last laptop came with something installed, 10 maybe, but I just nuked it as part of the Mint install. For me MS could die, I wouldn't even notice it.
