This is the real problem. That it will enable a small set of morally corrupt elites to wage war without any checks. At least in a conventional war you people actually fighting the war act as a partial check. You still have to convince the human pilots, drivers, and operators that your war has some legitimate reason for being fought. Even if the reasons for the war might be stretched, or made up. It still raises the difficulties and slows things down somewhat.
But if AI even enable a very small set of people to wage a full scale war, the wars will happen much more frequently and for much worse reasons.

Domain knowledge is not overrated. Not that you have to know everything about it before hand, but learning the domain knowledge is absolutely key to communicating effectively with your customers, and developing products that meet your customer's needs. Without domain knowledge you just a cog and because of that highly replaceable. When you have domain knowledge you can not only code what is asked, but actually innovate to make tools that the customer didn't know they wanted.

I think one of the flaws about the podcast business model is the assumption that the show can or should last indefinitely. There seems like very few podcasts that would fit within this paradigm. Maybe sports commentary, news, etc. But most would just exhaust their subjects within a short time. Maybe a year or two at most.

It seems like it would be advantageous for the industry to model a little more around how TV works. Meaning creating seasons of programs that have a planned end. Also learning how to promote new offerings over old offerings to make more room for new programs.

As a test case the boring company could be contracted to drill a tunnel to death valley and make that a shallow inland sea. No pump needed... The lake effect from that would be interesting. Probably raise the rain fall all over the west.

There's a lot of other ways that video games are bad for a person in general outside of general IQ. The biggest things that come to mind are the affects on face to face relationships with people especially parents. It also messes with a persons dopamine responses which if over done can lead to poor motivation in life and likely leading to mental health issues such as depression. And finally it takes away from time that could be spent in activities that would benefit the person in a more positive way. Out time is a zero sum game, lots of low value activities mean few high value activities.

I wonder if instead of couples growing to look alike instead people's perception of them changes. The longer they are together the more they look alike to those that see them because they are use to being seen together. Perhaps you associate them as belonging together, it's familiar to see them together. So we mistake that familiar association with actually looking alike.

While I mostly agree that irresponsible borrows should not be rewarded I also want to point out at that creditors that loan money to irresponsible people are also irresponsible and should not be rewarded either.

People who have behaved in a financially irresponsible manner, and have racked up massive debts, should not be rewarded. That goes for both individuals and corporations. Rewarding irresponsible behaviour will only lead to more irresponsible behaviour. Once their debts are cleared, low class individuals will simply rack up more debts and expect them to be cleared in the future. Poorly run businesses will expect the government to bail them out every time they fail.

Debts should absolutely never be cleared. Doing so is a road to economic ruin. People and businesses must take responsibility for their own actions. No exceptions!

My biggest concern isn't really people not working, but how it limit the liberty of the people involved. I have no doubt that it will start with no strings attached, but once enough people are on the roles, it'll be used as a political lever, to control the people receiving the UBI. Using threats to take it away, promises to give more, conditions attached to receive it. Could all be used as ways of controlling the masses.

You cannot enjoy a high degree of liberty while depending on a government entity. The more you depend on the government the less freedom you'll be able to exercise.
