They did allow me to "update my payment information" online, so I switched to a virtual card with a short expiration date and problem solved.

Exactly - it's bad enough now that often menus get popped up when you pause and usually right over the spot I wanted to look at in detail...

Exactly - normal dubbing sucks because it's almost always flat and misses all the "audio acting"; auto generated dubbing can only be worse.

Keep in mind that the actual useful range is half the spec'd range: you typically only charge to 80% because it's easier on the battery and the last 20% is a lot slower, and then you don't want to drive to 0% - aside from not pushing the envelope, charging stations aren't going to be at exactly that location and it's easier on the battery to not go that low. So you're running from 80% to 20%, i.e. 60% of the capacity. And then the ratings for optimistic and typically for slower speeds than people really go. 500 miles spec'd really is the ideal capacity for "gas equivalence".

I think the big news here is Ford including the Tesla charging port - that will give them a huge advantage over other EV makers because the Tesla charging network is so large and simple to use (just plug and go).

As long as they highlight the insecure sites, that's fine.

It is valuable as an indicator that the connection is encrypted, not that you can trust whoever's on the other end. While most sites are encrypting these days, it's useful for that fact to be obvious.

I have a Brother color laser printer which was also not terribly expensive and I've been very happy with it, except that it periodically makes me pull the toner cartridges and move a slider back and forth for some reason. It usually has a paper halfway in that I have to pull out at the same time also. But I'd rather deal with that nuisance than HPs crap.

This actually goes back a decode more, when AT&T sued BSDi, which I've always felt gave linux a huge boost at the time.

They still have a free tier, they're just being jerks about a platform "upgrade"...
