Comment Re:Trump lost the election by a wide margin (Score 1) 203

Every election we hear about even more batshit insane rules and laws at the State level, for a National election

In addition to the campaigns before the election to change or relax the rules whether it be SoS proclamations, judicial rulings overturning legislatures, or the legislature forgetting why we had those protections in the first place. It's a perfect storm of what a bad election looks like. Secrecy, lies, coverups, threats, relaxed rules, insecure methods, and a media complicit with Big Tech censorship.

Regardless what happens after this election. Why would established politicians care about fixing a problem if it keeps them in power? Why would any politician care about the problems of their constituents if a couple backroom deals can keep them in power? I don't think Biden or the democrats will fix problems that won it for them. Nor do I think it is party exclusive practice. I wonder more about Stacy Abrams claims that her election stolen from her in 2018 GA. But that is an acceptable election to question.

Sure but my comment wasn't about the strength or merits of that or other cases that Trump has not brought forward.

My point was correcting the false statement that "Trump has all of his lawsuits thrown out because no evidence". As demonstrated by who the plaintiff is in that case (Not Trump).

Trumps campaign hasn't brought any lawsuit forward to make a claim of fraud. Maybe they will be thrown out. Maybe they won't. The cases Trump has brought forward were rejected not for a lack of evidence but of judicial normalities.

But again, explain to me why you think that Trump's frivolous lawsuits based on patently false claims are being thrown out of court one after another?

Since I must be a sucker for losing karma. I am sure my comment won't change the dogma.

Most of the lawsuits being thrown out are NOT from Trump's campaign but from individuals or entities (like state GOP). They are mostly thrown out for no standing. They are not the party that can raise those lawsuits. In some cases, the Trump campaign is helping or supporting other lawsuits. There is one for against the City of Detroit that I can't remember the name of.

The lawsuits that have been thrown out from Trump's campaign were for being moot (seeking injunction to stop counting until observers present but count was finished). Most current lawsuits are for halting the certification of the votes. In MI, they dropped that case because of the shitstorm with the 2 county clerks rescinding their vote to certify Wayne county because they were threatened and harassed for not certifying in the first place.

The point so far has been building a case to take to court and making sure that in States they feel there are enough irregularities to challenge, not certify those votes yet.

They said today they are filing a suit in GA.

Some things to note. Apparently, one reason why many affiants are not coming public right now is because they are scared of the media and threats of violence. Frankly, that is understandable. The lawyers that dropped out had their familys and careers threatened. I already mentioned the 2 clerks that were threatened. Considering antifa shot a Trump supporter on the streets of Portland and have been targeted for years I am not surprised why they would be afraid.

What I have a hard time understanding, if you are confident Biden won without Fraud; Why is there so many threats of violence and why are so many trying to stop validating that win? What is there to fear with signature verification? What is there to fear with audits or recounts? Seriously, explain this to me. Gore took much longer for his case yet now it's different.

I know you and I have had many discussions and arguments together. I know we disagree about most things. I am not going to argue. I am making an appeal. I am truly set aside myself these last few days.

Are you incapable of understanding the opposition? I ask this question because when these political discussions occur it doesn't matter what is posted, sourced, or said (as noted by the mods of my comments). These discussions tend to follow, "I am right you are wrong I saw somewhere online I trust". Sourcing any position just means you found some source you consider credible online.

I am too exhausted to source twitter, google, or any website that has participated in algorithmic manipulation or ideological censorship. I don't know what piece of information or source you would accept to convince you of my position and what I have seen online. And frankly it doesn't matter.

If you are really curious about "what smoke" then I challenge you to represent your ideological opposite. This is not an argument or logical gotcha of "you do the work for me". This is an appeal of an American concerned with what I have seen. I am concerned that what has happened will break any integrity of any future election this country may have regardless who wins.

What should I tell you? I saw WI, PA, and MI stop counting the night of the election and then suddenly when no observer was around hundreds of thousands pour in 100% for one candidate that flipped a battleground state. Or recent USPS whistleblowers coming out saying ballots were being backdated after the election. Or the bug that flipped 6000 votes that had to be manually counted to correct in 1 county that is used across nearly every battleground state. I have heard reports that even democrat observers were denied. I wasn't there. I don't know.

I get it. Trump... is a divisive figure. I don't care if he lost to the most popular candidate in American history. I can accept that I think and believe different than most Americans. I want to understand that this is a fair election so that I know we have integrity.

If you really care I want you to understand how the last few days are viewed.. The desperation and anger isn't about Trump losing to the most popular candidate in American History. It is losing to theft and fraud that damage more than just Trump or Biden. Dismiss that as "ill-informed hicks from Idaho" if you want but that represents 70.5 million Americans. Yes, Biden is more popular but then accepting the calls for transparency shouldn't be fought.

I hope you understand I am not arguing. I am scared and being honest which is something I have never done on slashdot or online before.

Ballots being counted without observers or challengers from both sides as required by law. Video surveillance of ballot storage being denied when its supposed to be available as required by law. Access still being denied after a court order.

FUD? I am sorry you are misinformed or suffer from low information. But denying observation of election counting and tabulation is a deep concern. Democracy dies in darkness.

Look, I get it. orange man. But even if this is all an honest mistakes the damage has been done to integrity. Put the shoe on the other foot. Would you like it if one side, that was yours, denied the ability to observe the ballots being counted and stored? What if you were still denied after a court order?

If Biden won in the fashion that it seems to be, What is wrong with following the law and being transparent in the process to decide the most popular candidate in US history? What is there to hide?

What was it we heard last time. "Where there is smoke there is fire"

There is a lot of smoke. I don't understand how democrats are not mad that observers were denied at the very least. Ballots counted that were not observed by both sides to me stinks and frankly contaminates the whole election since chain of custody now cannot be maintained for all the ballots. how do we know which ballots were proper or not? Welp, they are all mixed together so recounts sound useless. Even when state law says that video surveillance of ballots storage locations be provided has been denied.

Hey, but no fraud right? SMH. What happened in these states look like Iran 2009. I am disgusted by democrats. If Trump lost and it seemed legit. Fine. But none of this seems legit. Maybe it is and democrats are so incompetent their stupidity throw the entire election process and integrity out the window. Good fucking job.

I should add timestamp 13:00 for what the lawsuit in MI is asking.

Note, it was thrown out by the judge because basically the count was finished so requiring an observer to monitor the count that has already finished is moot.

From a legal perspective it makes sense it was thrown out since there is nothing to observe. But from a laymen perspective the fact that observers were denied and then "sorry bud we finished already" stinks.

You seem to not understand the "Stop the count". Yea, Trump should be more specific in his tweets but his lawsuits are spot on and it's too bad the media won't tell you what the full meaning of "stop the count" means for places like MI and PA.

The point is that no ballots should be counted unless there are observers able to monitor the count as required by law.

So, let's ask a basic question of what that means in context of the lawsuits. Do you believe that elections should be transparent and that both sides have a right to observe the counting and tabulation process?

Here is a good read of those suits. See timestamp 5:20 for what the lawsuit is asking for in PA.

In AZ, the state has been dragging their feet and Trumps campaign feels confident it will flip. I don't know if it will but that is why they want it counted faster.
