Just a quick tip: by the time politicians get worried, something bad has already happened.

It's basically always the case similar to this: new technology comes along, it gets deployed, turns out bad things can happen too and happen in real life... only after the fact will politicians do something.

climate change is all about taking the right steps now or in the past to do what needs to prevent bad things in the future.

See how that doesn't align with politics ?

On the topic of fungi specifically, I would like to see a lot more vertical farming, hydroponics, aquaponics, etc. which on average are less susceptible to such things and also less depends on weather in general.

Mastodon, is a Twitter clone with the ability to network Twitter clones.

So technical people can run their own Twitter clone.

ADX Seems to be trying to make it so the data is structured n such a way the user creates it's data in one location, but can move it somewhere else.

Also means: moderation is just a filter on the user's data.

Personally I think Matrix.org already solved most of these issues. Except maybe moderation as a filter. But seems to me this should already be possible to build that way.

So you didn't cheer for the US in the space race ?:

In the US companies have to much influence on the government.

The companies look to much at short term profit, instead of the government long term goals.

And then we have politicians in the US who take the campaign funding from these companies and also only have the short term goals in sight.

Instead of the politicians representing companies. Maybe they should be forced to wear jackets which look like NASCAR cars with lots of sponsors on them.

That's not how a government is supposed to function. Politicians, aka representatives, are supposed to represent the people, with long term goals in mind.

US #1 issue, money in politics.

Second is the diviive media landscape. Also owned, consolidated and founded by big corporations.

Badly informed voters and politicians that have no incentive to care for what the voters want.

Supposedly clothes are to utilitarian for copyright, but we allow Monsanto to have patents on food production ?

Think about that, it makes no sense.
