What's this whole SJW thing about? Is it their code of conduct? I never read it. I suppose it only applies if you interact with the core group - after all any forum or organization is free to suggest their own rules and many do. I just use the language and the forums I frequent on Rust are independent anyway.

This whole polarizing SJW thing seems so quintessentially American and politically loaded. The last four years in particular. Everything is always taken to the extremes over there and we tend to find it a bit silly and sometimes amusing, sometimes tiring.

It's all about the dosage and frequency. I doubt you can compare its use as a malaria prophylactic with its use as a Covid19 prophylactic because the latter gets a lot more of the drug. Is it dangerous in the latter situation then? I don't know, I'm not a medical professional in the field.

Congestion might not be a problem for you and me right now but it is for many and in an ever growing number of places. Rolling out Sub6 5G before congestion becomes too widespread is a good thing. It's good to see 3.5GHz up and running here in Canada now.

Increasing speeds on the countryside are also important,- I'm talking about people on the edge of things in the countryside who'll sometimes get to enjoy better spectrum efficiency, better data management with many clients on a remote tower and band aggregation down on 600-800MHz. It's still situation dependent of course but it'll improve things for some and increase their crappy minimum bandwidth.

For this wait for the Snapdragon X60 modem that supports sub-6 carrier aggregation across TDD and FDD and Dynamic Spectrum Sharing,

As for ultimate top speeds mmWave is not that interesting except for busy small spaces like stadiums, but the speed on busy towers will improve a lot with Sub6.

Is vim really much more powerful than EMacs? I though Emacs Lisp was the most flexible of the two and VIM slightly more lightweight? Though for most regular uses they're comparable and it's just a question of what you're used to.

In any case I don't understand the tribalism around the two, I have used both and they are both more than adequate, support advanced must have features such as macro recording and have scripting languages (Lisp/Vimscript) and have great performance these days.

They are also both lightweight compared to bloated whales based on Electron.

The team in Oxford/UK got lucky in that they were very far on a MERS vaccine that showed strong generation of antibodies, they modified it slightly for C19 and started human trials last week. They say they have 80% confidence and are in talks with manufacturers internationally to prepare for mass production late this year if it pans out.
