Journal FortKnox's Journal: What every kids room needs... 3
I'm trying to get Gabe from Penny Arcade to hand draw me a copy of this comic, in hopes of me to frame it and place it in Joey's room.
Honestly, I don't think any childs room would be complete without something like this ;-)

Think your typical editorial cartoon in b&w pencil drawings. The topic was over excessive tuition costs at several local private elementary & high schools. One guy simply had an intrigued look on his face with one hand on his chin, the other was talking and not wearing a shirt. The line at the bottom was something to the effect of "Yeah, my kids go to [an-expensive-philly-private-school]" (I forget the exact line) The lack of shirt indicates how much money he shells out in tuition to send the kids there.
One of my dad's co-workers at the time wrote to the cartoonist, asking what about [some-NJ-school-that's-far-more-expensive]? A week later or so she got back the same cartoon, with two modifications: The line at the bottom to match the more expensive school, and a complete lack of clothing for the one guy. Fully graphic and everything else not fit for printing in the newspaper.

Although I admit to being confused about it (though I can say that NOTHING PA has ever done really makes that much sense...it's just a wierd cartoon strip).
What meaning did you draw from the strip? What message do you want to convey to your kids, and why do you think this strip is the way to do it? Seriously, I want to understand your reasons for putting this cartoon in your kids room.
