rocket_d00d's Journal: Creative spelling

Now and then you get to see signs, menus, etc. with sloppy spelling or creative use of the language (be it the local language or English), and sometimes the mistakes are outright funny. Like the one I saw a few days ago at a cafe (picture hosted by tuxette). Now, I can understand that they got the "cheese" part wrong, but what the bloody fuck is a "greasyburger"? To be honest, I'm not really sure whether I would like to be enlightened or not... :-)

Whatever it may be it certainly sounds like something that would increase some gourmand's weight if eaten.

Here in Bangeojin (Ulsan, South Korea) there is a restaurant called "Buy the way", as if they were trying to find purchasers for the road outside... or perhaps they have a selection of bridges for sale. :)

There is also a chain of roadside restaurants here in the Oslo area called "By the way", by the way. I have never been there myself, but with a cheesy name like that it wouldn't at all surprise me if they had a "Cheesy burger" on their menu.
