Journal mskfisher's Journal: Wow. 6
So there's a poll on Slashdot right now.
I saw a comment that I decided to echo with my +1 bonus.
I shouldn't be amazed by the number of replies any more...
But WHY do people feel the need to respond? Why do you have to defend your position? Why am I moderated as offtopic in a poll about good and evil and the human condition?

Interesting thoughts. I've noticed a real contradiction in people's thoughts regarding God. Assuming there is one, and he's a "good" God, people both assume that God will be understanding of their own situations and forgive them of any wrong doing, or not consider them a "bad" person because they are mostly "good". At the same time, they assume that God can't forgive people who have commited really heinous crimes, like murder. They want a both forgiving and unforgiving God. A righteous and non-righteo
