Warning for anyone who feels like trying linux 2.6.6-mm2 - he's forced 4kstacks on again, which breaks the nVidia drivers. I say this as I am posting from `links`. That is all. Thank you.

People often seem to ask what could be the problem with having binary-only drivers. People also often seem rather mystified as to why I'd still just have a lowly G400 graphics card.

Nonetheless, I'm making this posting from within X. Not trying to gloat (honest!), 'm just saying, that's all.

Hope you get things working properly again soon.

Fairly simple fix - revert to -mm1 ;)
Evidently 4kstacks wasn't the only culprit, as after I reversed it there was still b0rkage.
