malIgna's Journal: Slashdot Blackout?

I just read an interesting journal entry about essentially holding a boycott.

The fallacy I see with this is that people are arguing that Slashdot is trying to resell the content that people are providing. Slashdot is more of a community forum than a bona-fide news source. They don't have reporters, don't create news articles, etc.

Slashdot is just proposing a way for people to pay to be able to participate in this community.
