Journal JDWTopGuy's Journal: The day after 4

Ahh. For some reason I keep thinking how funny it would be to sing "I'm dreaming of a white Kwanzaa". Get it? A "white" kwanzaa?

Anyway, I got $130, chocolate, the spider-man game for PC, and a remote control Mini Cooper. I also had a glass of grape juice spilled on me (and it wasn't my fault).

That mini cooper is awesome, it's incredibly fast and it's a huge scale. I'm not sure what the scale is, but it's bigger than 1:6.

I have a hard decision to make. I'm replacing my PowerBook in the next month or so. I should have about $2,000 to spend. Do I buy a dual 1.25 GHz PowerMac G4, or do I stick with the iBook/PowerBook? I would like to have the PowerMac for its power and SuperDrive, but I do like to take my computer to friends' houses. What do you think?

Hey, I got the same thing, except replace spider-man with lincoln logs, and replace the RC cooper with... lincoln logs.

Oh, and futureshop doesn't sell the Rio Karma that I want, which means I have about $100 in futureshop gift certificates that I can't spend. Don't want to blow them on stupid crap... I'll have to get them to special order the karma or something. bleh.
    • Then get a mini-iPod! That's the obvious solution.
      • What mini-iPods, foo?
      • I could get an ipod, but the problem there is that it doesn't play oggs and as far as I know, has poor connectivity with linux.

The Rio Karma is absolutely perfect, because it is large enough to hold my entire collection, it uses standard ethernet + java for syncing (as far as I know, all you need to upload music to the karma is a web browser with java support), and it plays ogg vorbis (I have 5+ GBs of vorbis, no mp3s at all).

On my next day off, I'm going to go to futureshop and get them to order me a ka
