Bloodmoon1's Journal: Panther vs. Longhorn

I found this in a sig at MacRumors.com. I think it more or less sums up the difference between Panther, Longhorn, and their respective (future in Longhorn's case) users:

Panther-\Pan"ther\, n. A large dark-colored variety of leopard with fierce carnivorous instinct.
Longhorn-\Long"horn\, n. A long-horned beef cattle formerly common in the southwestern United States.

Which would you rather be at the end of the day? Think about it...

Well, I'd personally rather be a human being ;P

I'm actually looking forward to Longhorn. Not out of personal or even altruistic reasons... Rather that perhaps the IT outsourcing people we share a floor with might stop (or at least be less prone to) swearing like pirates on a daily basis... eventually...

Never really thought of it that way. I know I do find myself swearing quite a bit more whenever I have to do any work in Windows, especially networking. I think I only said about 7 words while I took Cisco networking classes, and only about 1 was more than 4 letters.

Well, whatever the outcome of the OS X 10.? vs. Longwhore event, it's already pretty evident that Microsoft will once again have delivered an "interface as afterthought" and Apple will have furthered her progressive implementations of research and scientific method...
