For a while, people were taking potshots - but all the military aircraft had protection anyway, so it failed. Presumably they gave up, at least to the point people were willing to try at least one commercial, civilian flight (the DHL 757 which was damaged) there. Boohoo. Much as I dislike Bush (I'm trying to convince myself that Howard Dean is the lesser of two evils) the man is president, he would be in a very questionable area (say, LBJ visiting Saigon in 1967, well, not that bad), and his safety is paramount.
