For 2003? There's a whole 8 weeks to go yet -- who knows what will happen? It only takes a moment for another company to make the list. After all, the Belkin thing's only come up in the past few days.

Yeah, the Belkin thing is new, but look at it this way: SCO is trying to take advantage of the fact that the history of AT&T UNIX, BSD, Sys V, GNU, and Linux is covoluted and incestuous. If you explained the history to my mother (not yours, she might actually pay attention to you!) in under two hours, without mentioning SCO's current lunacy, do you think that if you then mentioned that SCO was claiming ownership of IP in Linux, would she immediately say "those guys at SCO must be daft!"? Hint: no.
