Is Python good enough to replace Visual Basic?

  • Anything is ready to replace VB. The only thing VB ever had going for it was
    1) Drag-n-drop gui (hence quick windows applications)
    2)MS Office automation
    3) DB programing

    Now that VS.NET allows for #1 via Windows Forms (tm), there really isn't a need to program in VB anymore. #2 only matters if you are using MS Office, obviously. #3 is debatable.
