Ways to get on my friends list:

1) Post responses to my stuff, I do like to read what everyone says
2) Make it vaguely insightful, even if you respectfully disagree with what I say
3) Post frequently enough to where I notice you. One of the things I do in screening for friends is check their post history, more positive than negative mods is a good thing.
4) A good reference (aka a friend of a friend) is always a start as well

And to my foes list:

1)Troll or flamebait my posts, attack me personally, insult my character, etc. I don't take it too hard, it's just I won't want to hear from you again.
2)Make me a foe yourself, I always respond in kind.

How to get off my foes list:

1)Email me, it's right there and unobfuscated at [e-mail] for you to talk, in your email ask your offense and/or apologize and offer something insightful to say.
2)Follow with a string of good posts and I may mark you back to neutral, or even a friend :-)
Other than that, enjoy your time on my friends (or foes) list...
