Heavy viewers of the Fox News Channel are nearly four times as likely to hold demonstrably untrue positions about the war in Iraq as media consumers who rely on National Public Radio or the Public Broadcasting System, according to a study released this week by a research center affiliated with the University of Maryland's School of Public Affairs.

That's because

It was certainly a poor choice of lies to support the theses of this JE; I suspect you'd get very different results with these three, for instance:

• The President claimed in the State of the Union address that Iraq had attempted to obtain 'yellow cake' from Niger.
• No nuclear material has been found in Iraq.
• Iraq complied fully with Resolution 1441 and the previous 16 resolutions.

For instance, one of the supposedly false assertions is...Weapons of mass destruction have already been found in Iraq.

This is a 100% true statement. There is plenty of evidence, not the least of which bodies, which demonstrate that Saddam used chemical weapons on the Iranians and Kurds, that Saddam had a nuclear program which was set back by Israeli action, that Saddam had a biological warfare program at least some of which was publicly dismantled after the 1991
