  • Past all of the spitballing, what I've never heard articulated is any sensible alternative.
Isolationism? Sorry, it's the information age.
Non-interventionism? Well, that seems to have been where BHO has mostly operated, except for when he hasn't.
Would that there was a better answer.

Yes, you keep on repeating that, and so use it as an excuse to continue with the present evil of empire building and meddling where you don't belong. It's nothing but piracy, and 'our' pirates obviously must dominate or be crushed. I understand the need for for this. It's a simple biological, primal reaction to one's environment (can even be boiled down to basic physics), but.. you know the rest already. You know the 'alternative' but just won

Maybe you can explain it to me in terms of cancer. You have a malignant tumor. You can operate on it and kill it, with a high probability of full recovery.
Now: what am I not seeing, and what alternative are you suggesting? That I go all Christian Science, and refuse the operation? You can do that. It's a subjective call

        • So now you throw 7th grade civics... and again with the: Ahh, but it's too 'complex' routine. Pure condescending bullshit. Your 'international politics' is as phony as a three dollar bill. It is so patronizing to hear that rubbish. It's a facade, the jewelry store that fronts for the crack dealer. I guess when you are the tumor... eh, you simply do what you were made to do.

          • Still waiting to hear what your actual alternative policy prescription is.
Or not. You seem adept at the 'just accuse and finger point' game.
Sorry: thought this was an exchange of ideas.

It appears that PL/I (and its dialects) is, or will be, the most widely used higher level language for systems programming. -- J. Sammet
