Journal ceejayoz's Journal: Pres. Clinton Calls Bush's Uranium Mistakes Understandable 4

Who'd have expected this?

...he suggested that Bush's mistake was par for the course and that it was time to move on now that Bush had acknowledged the error.

"You know, everybody makes mistakes when they are president," he said. "I mean, you can't make as many calls as you have to without messing up once in a while. The thing we ought to be focused on is what is the right thing to do now."

I thought about entering some serious content, but then I decided Nah.
  • Who says it was "erroneous"? The statement in the SotU was entirely true - there's no question of that. The only question is, was the British government wrong to believe what it did? There's no evidence of that: the claim was not about Niger, and was not based on the "Niger documents" - it involved multiple other sources, concerned other countries, and there is still nothing to suggest that information was false. (The 'yellow cake' in question was actually found in Iraq, after all!)
