...he suggested that Bush's mistake was par for the course and that it was time to move on now that Bush had acknowledged the error.

Erroneous?

Who says it was "erroneous"? The statement in the SotU was entirely true - there's no question of that. The only question is, was the British government wrong to believe what it did? There's no evidence of that: the claim was not about Niger, and was not based on the "Niger documents" - it involved multiple other sources, concerned other countries, and there is still nothing to suggest that information was false. (The 'yellow cake' in question was actually found in Iraq, after all!)
