Journal MagnetarJones's Journal: Disaster Recovery - HELL!!!!!!!!!!! 2

For months now my boss has been on our backs to get the "Disaster Recovery" documentation finished so that he can have a "warm and fuzzy" feeling. The problem here is that he wants detailed DR procedures for each of the 50+ servers we administer. Besides the basic hardware and software configuration info (which is easy to do) we need to have a book (for each server) that details every step of getting a particular machine back up and running so that in the event that the point person on a particular server is not available, somebody (with little prior knowledge of that server) can step in and successfully restore the server.

Does anybody have any DR documentation "templates" that they might share OR know of any good on-line resources? I'm looking for examples of exisiting server DR plans (something I can build from and customize to my environment).

Thanks
