More stuff about the broken window I discovered last night-
I really wish the heating vents were not directly beneath the window. It's going to be a pain to open them up and clean out all the glass shards.
So am I supposed to knock out the rest of the window or just leave it the way it is until I find a window guy?
I'm really glad this is San Diego and I would probably just have the window open anyway.

The house was too hot last night for me to sleep, and the AC knocked off, thinking that it was cold enough. So, I want on the long trek (3' from the bed) to the window. It's so nice to not need AC/heat year-round. I needed it last nite 'cuz I was baking -- cheese straws and rolls, and that just makes the whole house into an oven.
Of course, I'm sitting here at work, broiling because I'm sick today and still at work (because I have scripting to do (which is such a rarity that I don't want to miss it) and Op
