Journal E-Rock-23's Journal: Interesting Visitor? I Meant Interesting Night...

Well, yesterday sure was interesting, to say the least. Not only did Erina stop by (nothing special happened, she met my Ham Hams, we talked, then she left after 15-20 minutes), but Jill called me.

Has it been a month already?

I have no clue where this is all going. I'm so confused right now it's not funny. I don't know if I'm dedicated or insane, but I promised myself I would see this out to the bitter (or sweet) end, and I will. I've backed off telling my friends what's going on, so now they're in the dark. At this point, I'm alone in my little quest.

And "A Geek In Love" rolls ever forward...

There's a chance Jill might show up at Electric Avenue tonight. I highly doubt she really will, but since I'm there every Friday anyway, I guess I'll find out. She's going to a Princess House (overpriced home interior) party till 11, so I probably won't see her there until 11:30 or midnight. And, like I said, it'll be a small miracle if she even shows up at all.

Boy, love makes you do the damndest things...

In Fire Service news, I'm pretty pissed off at the higher ups at the hall. At the last meeting, the Chief got on our cases about fund raising. Um, why? We just sold our previous fire engine to Spartan Custom Cabs for $30,000. We spent $16,000 on the new engine. Now, if we pay off all the bills on top of that, we're still left with about $10,000. So why are we in any great need of fundraisers?

Not only that, but one of our more successful fundraisers last year, the haunted house, is now short props and supplies because the Chief and Deputy Chief threw some of our stuff out. What the fuck, over? OK, so we're in dire need of making money, yet you toss things that would have made us money. That makes entirely no sense to me whatsoever.

I'm ready to say fuck Chester Hill and join up over at Columbia (I'm most likely going to anyway, since I simply can). At least there they have the financial ability to fend for themselves (bingo, carnivals, etc). And their chief isn't an asshole.

Another money item: OK, so we're hard up for cash, right? Right. Anyway, one of our fundraisers is hall rental. If you want to put on an event, fork over the cash and we'll let you use the fire hall. Simple. Well, Mr. Chief's daughter is getting married to our Captain. And what does he do? Instead of putting money into the hall and formally renting it, he's letting them use it for free. FUCK THAT! They shouldn't be any different than any other Joe Blow that wants to rent the hall, family/members or not. If I wanted to have my wedding there, they'd probably charge me. I wouldn't mind paying, since I know where the money's going. But come on!

Yeah, I'm in a fucked up mood today. Oh well. I'll survive, like I always do. Maybe someday I can sell the movie rights to my life story and make some cash that way. Anyone have any ideas who can play me? I was thinking Wil Wheaton...
