Journal E-Rock-23's Journal: An Interesting Visitor 1
Well, for those wondering, nothing happened at Bingo. Certain people didn't show up.
Anyway, I just got done with an interesting conversation on Yahoo (via Trillian). It was with my formerly much-hated ex fiance, Erina.
Lately, Erina and I have returned to speaking terms, and she even comes to my band's shows. Normal, yes. People often reconcile, even after the hell we put each other through four years ago. We figure that we're two different people now (individually, we've both changed by leaps and bounds since then). So, in effect, we're getting to know each other again, this time on different terms.
What strikes me as odd is the fact that she's dropping some strange hints in our conversations. For example, to annoy her mother (who still hates and always will hate me), she tells her that we're getting back together. That in and of itself is strange. Granted, it's just to annoy her mom, but why would she pick that?
Another example is when we talk about relationships. Since our time together, we've both evolved quite a bit. For example, I discovered that I have a dominant streak when I'm in the sack, and she discovered she has a submissive streak. Coincidence? Maybe. But then she starts dropping "that'd be fun" comments. OK, I can brush that off, no problem. But then I find that she stays on that topic. Interesting.
And now, she's coming up for a visit. She's done with school down in Altoona, and moving back to this area to start work at a local hospital. The fact that she wants to come (by herself, she always brings her boyfriend with her to shows and such) over is odd. But, she wants to do it while my mom's here. That's even more interesting, since my mom doesn't care for her too much (not like her mom hates me, though).
So, as if my love life isn't strange enough at this point, I'm getting a visit from my ex. Weird! Well, we'll see what happens, I suppose. Guess I should make the extra effort to make myself appear halfway presentable. Not like I'm trying to impress her or anything, but just to see what her reaction is. I fear the hints she's been dropping might lead to some... Well, something interesting...
