Journal FortKnox's Journal: Chances of Being Wiped Out By Asteroid Decreased

Y! states that, due to a recent study, the odds of the earth being wiped out by a large asteroid in the next 100 years has been drastically dropped. The original stat was 1 in 1,500; the new study puts it as 1 in 5,000. The statistics changed when they re-estimated the amount of asteroids in the galaxy that had the size to do the damage. The original size was 2 million, now its 700,000. Good thing I'm pretty safe; Screw future civilizations! ;-)
