I really have no idea why Obama chose that guy for his VP. Biden is cringe-inducing to listen to. He comes across as someone who is trying painfully hard to appear "with it" and "hip" when in fact he has not been "with it" OR "hip" for many decades, if ever.

I find it interesting that Biden seems to have to steal his lines all the time. I mean, the 'wrest [the gun] out of my cold, dead hands' is Charleton Heston, right?! (Should Dems really quote Heston? Is that really comme il faut with the Moore set?) And then there was that time when he stole the life and times and speech from Neil Kinnock and talked about his harsh childhood among the coal miners of Wales (and I really think that the only comment to that particular ruse is 'WTF?').
