Journal toby's Journal: Obama, Biden would prosecute Bush-Cheney crimes

Among this week's suppressed news: (Which at last seems to be breaking)

Democratic vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden said yesterday that he and running mate Barack Obama could pursue criminal charges against the Bush administration if they are elected in November.

"If there has been a basis upon which you can pursue someone for a criminal violation, they will be pursued," Biden said during a campaign event in Deerfield Beach, Florida, according to ABC.

"[N]ot out of vengeance, not out of retribution," he added, "out of the need to preserve the notion that no one, no attorney general, no president -- no one is above the law."

Nobody is above the law - what a quaint idea.

There we have it - a necessary and sufficient reason for the current administration to tilt this year's election, just like they did in 2000 and 2004. There is no way that they will allow a Democrat victory when the risk is personal prosecution. They're already scrambling to pardon themselves. They've looked after friends who commit crimes before.

If Obama and Biden get the opportunity to look for Bush and Cheney crimes, they will be working against a consistent White House pattern of evading discovery, concealing and destroying evidence. It is now believed that many official emails are gone. The Cheney family is scrupulously sanitising Dick's paper trail (it is noted that in this, the cabal emulates that old arch-criminal Kissinger.) And Emperor Bush himself famously plans to keep his archives sealed.
