Fuck me, but did anyone see that queer-as fuck conversation about the plural form of CDs?

I'm so pissed off right now I could kill someone. I certainly can't sleep. I hate everybody. I just want them all to shut the fuck up.

...you're forever searching for opportunities to show off your mastery of said dead language, in a futile attempt to convince themselves that it was a better thing to do at school than Woodwork.

What's even more troubling, though, is the fact that the kind of person who engages in this activity is usually the same person who wasn't smart enough to pursue a career in Medicine or Law, where they could spout Latin to their heart's content, and get paid for it! :)

I just want a minimum of effort. If we can find the mean between "i r t3h r33t h4x0r" and anal-retentiveness, I'll be a happy guy.

I may wince or unconciously demote someone when they screw up there/their/they're, it's/its, lose/loose, and your/you're fifteen times in one paragraph, but that's more because I can't conceive of a person who's that dumb. Christ knows that they must be trying.

I pretty much have only this to say. Try reading something, sometime. Anything with words written above a fourth-grade reading level. (What's with those, anyway?) Even a fapping newspaper. In the meantime, I'll try my damndest to lead by example.

Too many hours looking at the screen...
The occasional 'brain-fart' or 'senior moment' or 'blonde day'... ...and that's just me! :)

Based on my experience of Usenet (11 years and counting!) and IRC, I'd have to say that the writing level on Slashdot could be a lot worse than it is!

As Bart Simpson would say - "Don't have a cow, man!" :)
