Journal Fiver-rah's Journal: December: Lessig Challenge 3

I've e-mailed Luke Francl and I'm on the list! Woohoo! Least important person on the Lessig challenge! This is worth something, I bet.

Ahem. Now on to the serious biz. The money. The dough. All that stuff. For December:

IN THE ENTERTAINMENT GIANT CORNER we have:

  • Bill for shitty cable modem service: $15 (split 3 ways).
  • Star Trek: Nemesis tickets. Matinee. $6
  • The Two Towers tickets. $10 (I haven't bought 'em yet but that sounds right).

Total: $31

On the side of truth, justice, and the penguin we have:

  • Gentoo Linux, $31

For this month, I'm even Steven. I'm going to shoot to beat or equal my industry payments, but don't expect me to overshoot *too* much. I'm not that rich. :)

I'm not counting my ADSL charge, 'coz it goes to a small ISP run by a friend of mine (OK, so he has to pass a chunk of it onto BT, but the service isn't actually bad -- unlike those who use BT as an ISP as well as local loop provider). But either way, I'm in debt this month, mostly due to 7 tickets for "The Two Towers" at just over 50 pounds. My OpenBSD 3.1 CD only came to 35 or so...

People are actually following through. I'm adding up all the money donated so far, and it's quite a bit. I'm going to try to get the early results on Slashback soon.

    Thanks for your support!

    Luke

There are two ways to write error-free programs; only the third one works.
