L'Âge des ténèbres

I like the work of Denys Arcand. I have enjoyed every film of his that I've seen. This was no exception. I like his work and I wish more people would see it.

I middle aged man lives in crisis against his banal lifestyle and the fantasies he uses to escape. The fantasies are wonderful, Arcand's commentaries on modern life are trenchant as usual, and the resolution to the crisis something any modern suburbanite can appreciate. I have to assume that it either takes place a few years from now or Mr. Arcand really likes to mock modern society.
