So, ever since google took groups.google.com out of beta, the interface has been completely and utterly unusable, and has only gone down hill over time. Anybody have any recommendations for other web-based usenet reading

If you use windows, buy Agent [forteinc.com], or use Free Agent [pcanswers.co.uk]. I haven't moved to the 4.2 version and see no purpose in doing so, as my older version rocks. Agent is THE standard against which all others should be measured (and found wanting). If there is a feature you want, it has it. Free Agent isn't quite as featurefull, but it gets the job done.
I use Agrent 3.9, IIRC, but set up like the free agent screen shot (cuz I used that first, and like it). Plenty of free readers, both client and web based, but Agent is ju
