Everything else on the list becomes pretty irrelevant if you have a higher purpose for your life. If not, then there is nothing wrong with collecting material items if it brings pleasure to one's self.
Perhaps he is finding that life a vanity, and there is nothing new under the sun. He seems to know that there is something else in the world, but doesn't know what it is. Or atleast his list of accumulations does not show what it might be.

Considering I don't listen to country music, that's an easy thing for me to agree with. That said, it's not hard to find anything on it-- there's his own website [rickmoranis.com] and Amazon.com [amazon.com], just for starters [google.com].
I thought the article was amusing.
