gmhowell's Journal: Ton of online games

There are a ton of online, browser based games. Someone sent me to tribal wars. Kinda like an RTS. I just started, so have no idea what the fighting is like. Right now, I'm just building a village. I have chosen *not* to name the town St. Brice. Elsewhere, I stumbled upon Battle Knight. Go on quests, get loot, power up, fight evil (or good). If anyone else gets into either of these (or already is) leave a note here, and I would likely join your gang or alliance, or whatever. The nice thing about these over... Shoot, can't remember the last one I did, is that it isn't exactly turn based. You can logon, do a mess of stuff, then leave. No waiting for turns. Well, not too much, it seems. Time will tell. Getting ready to check out Pardus, which is a sci-fi game.

Tribal Wars

I've been playing tribal wars for a while. While you are still under newbie protection it's really important to get your wall built, and troops. Starts with swords because they have the best general attack and defense (nobody in your area will have cavalry yet which spears defend against better). Find some people near you who are out of newbie protection, and have low points. Attack the piss out of them to take their resources.

How do you find out who has newbie protection?

attack them, it will tell you that you can't. If the game lets you attack them they are out of their protection period. I think you ahve 5 days to get your defenses up before you are on your own. What's your village co-ords?

Just after reading about these games here, I'm at (297|391) K32, as Dawoyan. I'm also trying out that Pardus game, pretty nifty....
