_Spirit's Journal: More moderator points ?

Hmmm. Something funny is going on. I've been posting on and off on Slashdot for years, being invited to moderate every once in a while (once a month maybe, probably less). In the last week or so I got about 20 moderator points. Not only that but just about every thread I read seems to have been moderated to death, not leaving many places to put the points. Has the total number of distributed moderator points been increased ? Or did I do something stupid which got me on permanent moderator duty ?

Ah well, I guess I shouldn't be curious about Slashdots inner workings, I might learn something I didn't want to know ;-)
